I played one of 18xx once, 6 hours later I won rather big and still said, that game is way too long.  Then again ASL runs longer but I don't notice the time. 

I forgot a great little card game.... Lifeboat.  Its a great stab your friends in the back game.

OK guys........glad to hear......all the stuff is good....well painted.....and alot of the un-painted stuff is still in blisters.....I really want to clear this collection out, as I'm never going to finish painting or start playing........so its up for grabs.....couldn't be ar**ed with Evilbay....I'd rather have someone own it thats going to enjoy it! Battlestations is by Gorilla Games.  It's radically different from most sci fi games because it's a co op game about being an officer aboard a star ship. One player is the refree who presents the mission to the crew, much like an rpg. Using flat tiles to represent "rooms" of your star ship you customize your ship and move about performing actions on the ship while the space board has you position relative to other things, such as enemy ships.

You play a marine, pilot, engineer, or scientist.  After the mission your character gets prestige and experience, levels up just like an RPG. 

There's about 6 or 7 of us that are already on these boards having some weird love for both battlestations and Uncharted Seas.  I wouldn't compare it to Firestrom (or full thrust or star fleet battles) because those games are about management of fleets in grand space battles. The action in battlestations is more zoomed into one crew, one ship, ala serenity or something along those lines. It's also not player vs. player but rather a team game.

Battlestations is more centered on your ship and your character, a boardgame, but with an RPG feel.
