Hi Guys,
Here are the first pics we've shown of the Shroud Mages. The Frigates have metal turrets that can be placed at whatever anglew you want. We hope you enjoy!
Cheers, Neil

Awesome! Looks like they will be a fairly cheap fleet to pick up (no metal sails) so I'm definitely down for these guys.

These are freakin' cool. They look effectively like a different dwarf fleet, which may go down badly with some, but I love them. Cheers for showing us Neil, I can see these being my second fleet.

They share some visual similarities, but I think they will play very differently. Personally I like their look a lot more than the Iron Dwarves. A lot more steampunkish IMHO.
The main effect is that I think existing Dwarf players may choose to pass them over in favor of a fleet that looks more different. But, when the Shroud Mages come out there will be 7 fleets to choose from with more on the way like the Sky Pirates, so it's not exactly hard to find an alternative.
Going from visual cues, they seem to have a stronger front firing arc than Iron Dwarves, but probably less armor. I'm guessing an alchemy theme for their card deck but we'll see how it shakes out.

They are another dwarf fleet, just different. i.e. Iron Dwarves are all about being stock lock and barrel and thinking more about making things defensive. As pointed out, these look much less armoured, but they look as if they have better front fire capabilities. They also will probably be more magic based (or alchemical as pointed out). Neil, I did not mean it in a bad way, on the contrary, I love these minis. I'll buy some next time you invite people down.

Hi Rob, Didn't take it as bad at all. They are a much different race to the other dwarves.... Next event. I'd love to try and do something in May if it was doable. Must check what weekends don't clash with shows and wot not. Neil

That would be most excellent. Why do I think that you may need more space this time round?

Admittedly I was expecting something like these, but with big chaos dwarf style towers and stuff for some reason.
Silly MOW getting stuck in my brains.
